DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION ELEARNING
Responsibilities: eLearning development
Target Audience: All employees
Tools used: Rise 360, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word
OVERVIEW
I was contacted by Human Resources to help create a diversity and inclusion eLearning for all employees to take. I was the eLearning developer on the project, with most of the information gathering already completed.

I choose Rise 360 for this project because of how well the final output works across all devices. One goal for this training was to allow employees to take the course anywhere and on any device. We also needed the learning completed quickly, so Rise met all those needs.

Throughout the course, I chose to add engagement by using flip cards, knowledge check questions and reveals to help with engagement and keep it fresh.
Process
Since all the information was gathered for me and a storyboard was provided, I could begin to create the course in Rise 360. I started with creating the style and getting all the fonts, images, and logos set in the program.

I could get most of these from other departments, or I already had most of them on my computer.
Prototype
I created the first two sections and added all the interactivity to those sections for my stakeholder’s review. I wanted them to see the engagement ability before completing the entire course. After receiving feedback and approval on the prototype, I fully developed the course.
Full Development
I completed the entire course and added the team's functionality requests to the learning. Rise is a great tool to build courses like these, making the timetable for the final product quick.
Lessons Learned
The Diversity and Inclusion course was a great addition to the catalog for Human Resources. We achieved our goal of allowing the employee to take the course anywhere, on any device.

If I could change one thing about this project, I would have liked to build something in Storyline with a character and an overarching story throughout to help employees understand how to apply what they learned in everyday scenarios.
Moving forward, I want to continue building my skills with Rise 360 and Storyline 360 to create fun and interactive courses.
